Designing your Own Bridal Hat:
In this post, we’ll be showing how to make a hat fit for a bridal queen. Perfect for a crazy bachelorette party in Nashville to even the day of your wedding, this hat features a short cute tulle veil, pearl detailing and romantic lace to bring that special touch to your incredible day.
Items you will need:
- One Original Neon Cowboys Hat
- Lace Trim
- Flat Back Pearls
- Tulle Veil
- E6000 Adhesive Glue
- Brush
- Dot painting tool
- Scissors
Steps:
First, we’re gonna start by embellishing our hat with some gorgeous pearl detailing and lace trim. You can absolutely do this however you like, but I hope you enjoy what I did to create the cutest little bridal hat.
Open up the small slit that is created between the sewn lighting and the hat itself at the back of the hat. You will then tuck the glued lace trim into that slit. Using some E6000, apply the adhesive to your lace trim in a small section. Repeat until you have placed the lace around the entirety of the brim of the hat.

Next, we’ll be using flat back pearls to create some more dimension. I decided to place pearls in a sundial pattern around the Neon Cowboys logo, around the inside of the lace trim, and around the base of the hat where the head sits. Apply the E6000 glue with your dot painting tool in your desired areas and apply the pearls.
This process is definitely a bit tedious but take your time with it and you'll get results that look like this!
Lastly, we’ll be attaching the veil. Take your hot glue gun and apply hot glue at the back of the hat like so:
To create a strong bond between the veil and the hat, press and hold until the hot glue is solidified. I placed a piece of tape to help it dry faster.
Once it’s dry, you are done and ready to wear your new hat on your big special day or on a boozy bachelorette adventure!
