Spike Up your Neon Cowboys Hat:
What if you could puncture and stud your hat just like in our LED Horoscope Chokers DIY video? Well, now you can! We found a tool that will let you easily puncture holes into your Neon Cowboys Hat. In this post, we will show you how to use this tool for adding sharp spikes to bring edge and spice to your hat.
Items you will need:
- 1 Original Neon Cowboys Hat
- Spiked Studs
- Screw Driver
- Marker
- Crop-A-DI POWR Punch .25” Hole Puncher

How to:
We’ll be using two variations of studs for this project. You’ll find that this DIY is relatively simple as long as you have all the right tools.
It is extremely important that you have purchased the Crop-A-DI POWR Punch .25” Hole Puncher as traditional hole punching tools will not puncture the hat’s material easily.
First, start by marking the placement of each stud. Using the marker, I placed little dots an inch away from each other around the entire brim of the hat.
With our special tool punch and going very slowly, we will be creating holes equally spaced from each other to place the spikes through.
Just apply a bit of pressure and you will be able to create a perfectly circular punch!
Depending on the studs that you have purchased on Amazon, you can either twist them in or use a small screwdriver to apply the studs.
And just like that, your new edgy spiked hat is done!
