Since 2015, Asia Hall has been kicking up a storm in the Central Florida startup scene with her wearable tech startup, Neon Cowboys. Their signature product, the Neon Cowboy Hat, was inspired by the bold style of the West and brought to life with bright, sharp, glowing lines that steal the show when the Sun goes down.
Bolstered by experiences with Orlando's own Catalyst accelerator and the renowned Shark Tank, Asia has proven her business acumen on both the local and national scale. Recently, she has added to her list of accomplishments the Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) certification from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council. "WBENC is a great honor because of the opportunities it unlocks" she said of the award, "and as much as it is an honor for us, Orlando as a whole benefits from having more women present in its business and tech sectors." She also believes this can be a boon to Neon Cowboys' increasing product variety. "This builds confidence in the minds of investors and any additional backing we receive can absolutely drive development of new products."
Currently, Neon Cowboys offers hats, bottle openers, beer holsters, earrings, and dresses with a neon-western flair, but Asia insists that it's only the tip of the iceberg. "We have requests for hats in almost every color we don't already have. The colors we do have are on runways in London, festivals in Cali, and tailgates all over the South. We've got so many ideas we'd like to explore and we're just getting started." Asked about her goals, Asia was optimistic but tight-lipped. "We're definitely interested in customization, whether it's for a team, a bachelorette party, or an individual; as far as new products are concerned, we post some of our prototypes on instagram and have actually changed our product development based on fan feedback."
